In the last year, missioners to our sister Diocese in the Dominican Republic continued its home building projects. Two churches and one community center were built. A medical clinic, library, and school are planned for construction this year and next. Training of community teachers continues and the medical missions served almost 2000 patients last year.

Through Catholic Charities of Central Florida, we serve almost 100,000 people in need each year. We offer 80,000 individuals, more than 23,000 families, with food and financial assistance; provide more than 6,000 individuals with mental health, pregnancy and marriage counseling, and assist with adoptions. We welcome nearly 300 refugees and their families and serve 4000 individuals with immigration legal assistance as they begin new lives in our country. We assist almost 300 homeless people with medical and shelter needs at Pathways to Care. We visit more than 2000 imprisoned people and work with first-time youthful offenders and their parents.

We are called to share our treasure in proportion to God’s blessings to us, giving selflessly in a spirit of love for the Lord.
