Lay Ministry - Called and Gifted Course

A four session reflective process on ministry in today’s Church. It is intended for any person who wishes to increase their knowledge and understanding of the post Vatican II Church and their responsibility within the Church and society. Each session covers one aspect of the U.S. Bishop’s most recent pastoral reflection on the laity with the addition of a segment on gift discernment.

How Parishes can Use It:

Facilitated by trained and educated laity using the U.S. Bishop’s Pastoral Reflection Called and Gifted for the Third Millennium. Those who complete all four sessions receive a certificate of completion. To schedule this course in your parish or purchase the materials call the Lay Ministry Office at (407) 246-4880.

The Called and Gifted for the Third Millennium course can be used for adult education, ministry enrichment, and RCIA programs. The facilitator’s manual includes everything necessary to offer the program: detailed lesson plans, prayers, reflection questions, group exercises, overhead transparencies and reproducible handouts. Copies of the text,  T-shirts, and prayer cards are available at an additional cost.

A day of reflection on Becoming Holy in Ordinary Places is also available using the basic concepts from Called & Gifted but using an additional section on religious imagination.
