Year Three - The Celebration of the Christian Mystery

The Celebration of the Christian Mystery: The Sacraments explores the importance of the Mass and Christ's presence in the Eucharist. The first four sessions focus on the liturgy and an understanding of the sacraments. The next two sessions examine Baptism, one on the sacrament itself and another on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. The last six sessions look at the remaining six sacraments.

This year's schedule:

August 2012: Small Community Leader Formation Workshop

Audience: Small Community Leaders and Why Catholic? Parish Team

Training locations for small community leaders will be determined at a later date

August/Sept. 2012: Promotion of Why Catholic? and Sign-Up Sundays in parishes

October 2012:  First 6-week session on The Celebration of the Christian Mystery begins

January 2013: Adult Faith Enrichment —Topic to be determined

Audience: The whole parish, helping to provide ongoing adult faith formation

January/Feb. 2013: Promotion of Why Catholic? and Sign-up Sundays in parishes

Lent 2013: Second 6-week session on The Celebration of the Christian Mystery begins

April/May 2013: Parish Retreat – Topic TBD

Audience: The whole parish.
