2012 Light of Faith Communication Awards

As we seek to bring the Light of Christ to our world, we are called to communicate the Gospel message effectively with an understanding of the culture of our time. To highlight the many ways in which the Good News is communicated throughout the Diocese of Orlando, we are pleased to present the third annual Light of Faith Awards Program in unity with World Communications Day.

We invite you to enter print, online and campaign materials which you have developed that are examples of effective communication and evangelization. Every diocesan entity is encouraged to submit at least one entry for this awards program. Entries will provide a wonderful opportunity for the exchange of ideas and the enhancement of our communication efforts. Your entry could be chosen to receive a Light of Faith Award.

Bishop John Noonan invites you to a prayer service and Light of Faith Awards ceremony (date in Spring 2013 to be determined) at the St. James Cathedral in downtown Orlando.

You are also invited to a communications expo at the Diocese of Orlando offices. We will first gather for Mass celebrated by Bishop Noonan at 12:10 p.m. at St. James Cathedral. Then we will gather at the Diocese of Orlando Chancery, 50 East Robinson Street. Participants will be able to attend professional development workshops, view communication materials created by other parishes and schools, network with others from across the Diocese and view exhibits from vendors who specialize in communications and evangelization..
