Kevin began his career with Bishop Grady Villas in 2004 as Resident/Staff Development Director. During this time he supervised the Assisted Living Community and provided employment services to the residents of Bishop Grady Villas, assisting them in acquiring competitive employment. In 2008, Kevin was appointed Executive Director and oversaw expansion of the program through contracts with the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities, Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and Social Security Administration Ticket To Work. Under his leadership, Bishop Grady Villas has become one of Central Florida’s 25 largest nonprofit organizations. In 2011, Kevin was named the Florida Assisted Living Associations’ Assisted Living Administrator of the Year.

Kevin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a major in Psychology and minor in Spanish. After graduation, Kevin volunteered full-time through Catholic Volunteers in Florida, an AmeriCorps program, as direct support professionals serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting. Kevin later became a full-time staff member and was promoted to Group Home Manager and then Co-Administrator over the program. He is a founding member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.


Meagan Gallagher

Meagan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. She completed the Crummer Management Program through the Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business in 2012. She is also a certified instructor of the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention program. Meagan started her career working with people with disabilities as a volunteer in 1997 serving children with physical disabilities at a residential summer camp. Since then she has dedicated her personal and professional life to working and volunteering with people with disabilities.

Meagan began at Bishop Grady Villas in 2007 as a Direct Support Professional. In 2008 she was promoted to the Residential Programs Manager position where she supervises the Assisted Living community and Developmental Disabilities Medicaid Waiver programs including Residential Habilitation, Adult Day Training and Companion.


Laurel Hayward

Laurel graduated with an MA in Art History from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BA from Scripps College in Claremont, CA. Having dedicated her twenty five year career to nonprofit fundraising, Laurel is committed to helping people achieve their dreams through inspiring the generosity of others.

Laurel started at Bishop Grady Villas in the summer of 2016 and is eager to learn all she can about this extraordinary community. Please contact her to share your thoughts on how she or you can continue to make a difference at BGV.


Robert Goez

Robert started his career working in the non-profit sector more than ten years ago; his main contributions included working with accounting services for Make a Wish Foundation and different Charter Schools in the state of Florida.

Robert believes he’s been blessed by having the opportunity to serve within the non-profit sector by providing professional accounting support to the staff of entities that work hard to make a positive contribution to the lives of the individuals they serve.

Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in Accounting with Liberty University.


David Schumacher

David graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Parks and Recreation.  His career has led him into a variety of areas in the Guest Service industry from international world renowned resorts to the cruise ship market.  In 2000, he moved from the Bahamas to tour a local non-profit and began a new path in the health and care field.

His career at Bishop Grady Villas began in 2009 as Assistant Residential Program Manager.  His position allows him to interact day to day with the residents.  His responsibility also includes scheduling activities and the expansion of more community involvement for the residents.  The volunteer program is an area constantly growing and a chance to welcome those interested in being a part of our mission.  He invites you to get involved with our Bishop Grady family and contact him!


Desiree Robles

Desiree Robles graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rollins College Hamilton Holt program in Winter Park. Desiree started her career working with people with disabilities in at YAI Network in New York City. At YAI, she was inspired to dedicate her life to working with adults with disabilities. Desiree began her career at Bishop Grady Villas in 2005 as a Direct Support Professional. In 2008, she was promoted to the position of Employment Specialist providing Supported Employment services to residents of Bishop Grady Villas, and then expanding to provide services to residents of Osceola, Orange and Polk counties. In 2009, Desiree was promoted to the Employment Programs Manager as additional employment specialists were added to the program. Today, Desiree supervises Employment Services, Discovery, On-the-job Training, and Social Security Work Incentives counseling for individuals in Osceola, Polk, Orange and Seminole counties.


Ali Mingari

Ali graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Minor in Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She worked as a Dependency Case Manager in Osceola County for a year before she moved into the Compliance field as a Clinical Risk Assessment and Compliance Specialist. Ali first started working with individuals with disabilities as a volunteer at Hawks Winds Stables in Parkland, Florida in 2006. Since then she has continued to volunteer and give back to her community working with a diverse group of individuals.

Ali joined the Bishop Grady Villas team in January 2016 as the Compliance Manager. She works with Medicaid Waiver recipients and their families to ensure they are receiving the services they need and the proper documentation is completed as required by Medicaid to support those service.


Lisa Landman

Lisa received her BA from Yale University where she graduated with Honors in Psychology. During her tenure at Yale, Lisa received the Susan B Levy Award for Academic Excellence. This award is given to students who not only excel academically but who are also very involved in community volunteer programs. One such program was an internship at Fellowship Place, a halfway house designed to serve the needs of people with severe mental illness through a holistic approach. Lisa’s time at Fellowship Place laid the foundation for her future education in holistic medicine.

Her academic distinction led her to receive the President’s Scholarship to Fordham University where she received her Master’s degree and her Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology. During her time at Fordham, Lisa’s desire to help individuals with mental illness led her to publish her first journal article on depression and self-esteem that was based on a research project that Lisa designed and conducted over several years. Since graduating, Lisa has written an academic book about self-esteem and depression that is used internationally in Developmental Psychology classes. Her mission to couple her training in mental health with holistic medicine and nutrition led Lisa to obtain her certificates in Nutrition from Integrative Nutrition Institute and SUNY-Purchase College. With her Ph.D. in Psychology and certificates in Nutrition, Lisa was awarded Board Certification as a Holistic Health Counselor by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.

Lisa joined Bishop Grady Villas in 2006 as a Residential Coordinator and is eager to put her education in to action with this incredible community. 


Oniel Tobias

Oniel Tobias has over fifteen years experience in the classroom, education administration and theater experience.  He earned a Master of Arts in Teaching with distinction, a Bachelor’s Degree in School Management and Leadership, and a Post Diploma in Education Administration from the Mico University College in Jamaica. He graduated from the Excelsior Community College as the most outstanding drama major with a diploma in the Performing arts.

He has implemented community development programs, international remedial study activities, and implemented collaborative efforts with other educational institutions for children with special needs.

Oniel joined Bishop Grady in March 2016 to continue transforming lives through meaningful activities.


Lauren Triche

Lauren graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of the Arts in Anthropology and Minor in Dance. With a passion for serving others, Lauren came to Bishop Grady Villas in 2012 to serve as a full time volunteer through Catholic Volunteers in Florida. Lauren had volunteered since Middle School with various populations, but found her passion for helping those with disabilities when she began at Bishop Grady Villas. 

In March of 2013 Lauren transitioned into the Residential Coordinator position and officially came on staff in July of 2013 after her year with Catholic Volunteers in Florida came to a close. Lauren works with the residents and their families at Bishop Grady Villas to create person-centered plans for staff to follow to provide cohesive assistance. Additionally, she trains and supervises Direct Support Staff to help them provide top notch care. 

In the Fall of 2015 Lauren received a Certificate in Leadership Practice through Rollins College Edith Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership. Lauren is also working towards her Certificate in Nonprofit Management through this program. 


David Ochs

David served in The US Army as a Technical Engineer Specialist. His career has lead him to have experience in Surveying, Drafting, Blueprint Reading, Materials Cost Analysis, and Electrical Work.

David’s career started at Bishop Grady Villas in 2008 as the Maintenance Technician.

His position allows him to interact and assist our Residents daily. He works with keeping our facilities; grounds, buildings, inspections and vehicles all in a safe an clean environment, to provide an exceptional home for our residents
