About the Event
Disciples of Word, Sacrament and Mission is the theme for this year’s diocesan conference, gathering hundreds of ministers, catechists and volunteers involved in all arenas of ministry (catechetical, sacramental, pastoral, liturgical, evangelization, family, and more).
From liturgy and faith formation to topics on family life, social media and leadership, participants will be able to grow as disciples and share in the Church’s Eucharistic mission of evangelization. “This year’s conference will highlight the importance of the Eucharist in our life, spirituality, and practice as Catholics,” explained Dennis Johnson, Jr., secretary for laity, family, and life for the Diocese of Orlando. “As we begin a year-long jubilee celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the diocese, Bishop Noonan has asked that we recommit and renew ourselves as a Eucharistic people.” This conference will help reignite your fervor as a disciple of Christ and live out your Eucharistic mission of being bread to others.
The multicultural and multilingual event includes four breakout sessions with more than 80 workshop choices in four languages (English, Spanish, Creole, and Portuguese), an inspiring keynote address by Father Ivan Olmo, Pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Parish in Rockledge, and exhibits from Catholic publishers and organizations.
Come and meet other ministry members, learn new ways of evangelizing and sharing God’s word. The day includes morning hospitality, lunch, keynote, and four workshops for only $40.
For those previously registered who plan to attend in February, no further action is needed at this time.
