Bishop Noonan Reflects on the Season of Advent and the Jubilee of Mercy

Two beautiful celebrations are converging upon us:  the Season of Advent and the Jubilee of Mercy.  Beginning the Church’s liturgical year, Advent (from, “ad-venire” in Latin or “to come to”) is the season encompassing the four Sundays (and weekdays) leading up to the celebration of Christmas. It is a time of preparation; a time for us to make holy our daily living through prayer, abstinence, and acts of mercy. Click here.
