This event will be held on November 8 from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Daytona Beach (1014 N Halifax Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118).

The morning will provide an overview of basic skills and information regarding the lector ministry followed by participation in the Liturgical Training Publications live Virtual Workshop presented by Graziano and Nancy Marcheschi. This interactive Virtual Workshop will combine the liturgical and spiritual aspects of being an effective lector with public speaking techniques. The workshop addresses the role of the lector according to Vatican II and provides the latest information on the General Instruction of the Roman Missal. Participants will learn the theological grounding of their ministry, explore the spirituality of the readings and the liturgical seasons, and consider how their proclamation of the Word communicates the voice of God to the gathered assembly.

The cost of the workshop is $15 per person. Information and online registration is available by visiting the Liturgy and Music website (www.orlandodiocese.org/ministries-offices/liturgy-and-music) and clicking on the Workshops and Events tab. This workshop is offered in both English and Spanish.
