The deacon, sustained by the grace of the Sacrament of Holy Orders is ordained into the ministry (diakonia) of the liturgy, of the word and of charity to serve the Church and the People of God, in communion with the Bishop and his priests.

Unlike Seminarians in formation for the priesthood who are ordained as transitional deacons, men ordained to the Permanent Diaconate commit their life to remain a deacon called to be the Sacramental sign of Christ the servant.

The following men will take their place among the successors of the first deacons, in a close and sacramental partnership with the Bishop and priests of the Diocese of Orlando, a partnership in the Gospel of Christ.

Israel Colon – St. Augustine, Casselberry
George Ferraioli – St. John Neumann, Lakeland
Mark King – St. Thomas Aquinas, Bartow
Scott Lindeman – Sts. Peter and Paul, Winter Park
Bill Timmes – St Margaret Mary, Winter Park
