Are you prepared for the Florida Presidential Preference Primary Election on January 31?
The right to vote carries with it a responsibility to study and know the candidates. As citizens of faith, we are led to question, according to our foundational beliefs, how each candidate if elected will address our nation’s issues.
The bishops of Florida approved “Discerning Your Vote” to assist the faithful with discerning which candidate will stand up for issues concerning the protection of human life and the promotion of a just society. The bishops of Florida also approved the “Election and Political Activities Guide” that is intended to encourage clergy and laity to facilitate involvement in election activity. The booklet provides guidelines on appropriate activities as well as those that are restricted by parishes and Church entities.
