260 pilgrims from 20 parishes in the Diocese of Orlando are in Indianapolis this week for the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC). This year’s theme is Called/Llamados.
Every other year, Catholic young people and their chaperones—youth ministers, campus ministers, parents, catechists, priests, coaches, and scout leaders—come together to pray, learn, and grow in their faith at NCYC.
Together, they learn about living as a disciple of Christ in today’s world and visit with organizations that provide resources and other support to youth and youth ministry. They spend time in personal and communal prayer, and engage in service to others. In addition, they also have opportunities to receive the Sacraments of the Eucharist and Penance.
Pray with us for our young people and their chaperones including Carlos Bernard, Jr., Director of Youth Ministry and Fr. Miguel Gonzalez. Please keep them in your prayers for the safety of their travels and that our young people will be open to hearing God’s call for them.
