Catholic Volunteers in Florida Orientation Begins July 29

As always the summer has flown by and we find ourselves closing the 2012 fiscal year and beginning the 2013 fiscal year by welcoming the new class of volunteers at Orientation.  Starting the new fiscal year we also welcome our newest staff member…DARCEY DINH!  Darcey will be sharing her exceptional enthusiasm and skills by re-invigorating our Retreat Curriculum and enhancing our already fantastic Formation Program (thanks Sr. Florence for creating such a great framework from which to start!).  Additionally Darcey will be responsible for our recruiting initiative and we look forward to her further engaging the Campus Ministry Offices and Florida Parishes to fan the flame of service in our young adults! Please join us:

Orientation begins on Sunday, July 29 at 1:00 p.m. with the new class arrivals and ends Friday morning at 10 a.m. with the Commissioning Ceremony celebrated by Bishop Noonan at San Pedro Spiritual Center in Winter Park. We welcome you to join us at any and all events but specifically on Tuesday night (7/31) at our Friends and Family BBQ at San Pedro Spiritual Center at 6 p.m.; or Thursday night (8/2) for the Annual Appeal Dinner and Party starting at 6 p.m.; or join us and Bishop Noonan at San Pedro Friday morning (8/3).

Thank you all for making this possible.  Without you support and amazing shared gifts we are able to spread Jesus word through action and “providing people the opportunity to live out their faith by serving those with the greatest need. Catholic Volunteers work towards justice and peace, positively transforming the communities they serve as well as themselves.”

Special thanks to our presenters, activity leaders and celebrant: Bishop Noonan, Sr. Kathleen Power, Heidi Peckham, Kay Garner, Amanda Livermore, Deborah Shearer, Alan Ray & Gerry Glynn.
