“The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life” – Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 1324
Bishop John Noonan invites you to the Diocese of Orlando’s Corpus Christi procession on June 26, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Join Catholics from across the Diocese of Orlando to publicly express our belief in Jesus Christ, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
Bishop Noonan will lead the procession around Lake Eola as participants pray, sing and reflect on the Mystery of the Most Holy Eucharist.
The procession begins at the conclusion of the 5:00 p.m. Mass (approximately 6:15 p.m.) outside of St. James Cathedral, continues to Lake Eola and concludes at the band shell for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Stops along the way allow for prayer at Eucharistic altars of repose that highlight the music and traditions of various ethnic groups in our community.
This will be a joyous celebration that will unite our Catholic community as we publicly express our faith in the Eucharist, the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. In the Eucharist, our Holy God draws close to us.
