On Sunday, June 13, more than 200 members of the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia gathered in Our Lady of Angels Chapel in Aston, Pennsylvania, to give witness to the lives and service of the congregation’s 36 jubilarians. Father Cyprian Rosen, OFM Cap, was the presider at the Eucharistic liturgy. Celebrating 75, 70, and 50 years of religious profession, the jubilarians represent an accumulated 2,045 years of service in 21 states and 45 dioceses, including Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Ireland, Nicaragua, and Africa.

Diamond jubilarian Sister Irma Francis Godsil, OSF, celebrated 70 years of religious profession. She taught at St. John Vianney School, Orlando, from
1969-1975.

Two of the golden jubilarians celebrating 50 years of religious profession also ministered in the Diocese of Orlando. Sister Regina Carmel McMonagle, OSF, served in St. John Vianney Parish from 1984-1989.  Sister Jean O’Connor, OSF (formerly Sister Maureen Francis), ministered at St. Joseph School and Parish in Palm Bay from 1993-1997.
