Hope CommUnity Center Seeks Notre Dame Mission Volunteers

The Notre Dame Mission Volunteer/ AMERICORPS program based at the Hope CommUnity Center in Apopka is recruiting a new team of volunteers for the 2016-2017 season. This is a great opportunity to serve your community while gaining job skills, earning a stipend of $12,530, and an Education Award of $5,775 as well as health insurance. The service sites include teacher assistants, tutors for elementary school and high school students, Adult Education, Immigration and Citizenship Services, Domestic Violence Centers, and worker and immigrant rights education. The program begins September 1, and continues through July 2017 and requires 35 to 40 hours a week.
