Year of Faith: A Reflection for Catechetical Leaders
Hebrews 11 verses 1-2: Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. Because of it the ancients were well attested.
Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 702. From the begining of time to its fullness the Father’s Word and Spirit are at work preparing for the time of the Messiah. This is why “when the Church reads the Old Testament, she searches there for what the Spirit, ‘who has spoken through the prophets,’ wants to tell us about Christ.”
How do I see the connection between what is revealed in the Old Testament and what is fulfilled in the New Testament? Am I as willing to follow by faith, the expectations of God and Jesus as were Abraham or Sarah? or the Apostles?
Praying with and for you in this Year of Faith,
