The Annual Diocesan Mass for the Separated and Divorced will conclude the Separated and Divorced Retreat on September 12 at 11:00 a.m. at San Pedro Center-Camp Side.  This Mass is celebrated in memory of Father James J. Young, CSP, who was instrumental in founding the North American Conference of Separated & Divorced Catholics in 1974.  He was a man of vision and compassion, heeding the Gospel call of ministering to divorced men and women who need a voice in the Church.  He was the first chaplain of the NACSDC and guided it until his untimely death in September 12, 1986.

“Relationships and circumstances within your family may have changed, but God’s love for you is ever-present and does not come to an end.  Grasp the hands of those who reach out to you in loving concern. Extend your own hand to others whom you meet on the road to healing and reconciliation.”
