Tomato Media Pick

In these initial days of Lent, we feature “Tomato,” the 22nd short film of the NOOMA series. If you haven’t viewed a NOOMA yet, you’re in for a treat. The series’ name is a phonetic rendition of pneuma, the Greek word for spirit. Crafted primarily for older teens and young adults, these short pieces present faith messages in a riveting, challenging context. In this 13 minute DVD, we enter the daily reality of dying and rising with Christ. Rob Bell, series creator, dramatically explores the moment-by-moment choices that lead to Christian authenticity. Two of my favorites in the NOOMA series are “Flame,” about the totality of human love, and “Dust” about our call to discipleship.
