Do you seek to be like Jesus Christ in humility and simplicity of heart? What is the cross which Jesus Christ commands you to take up each day?

Year of Faith: A Reflection for Catechetical Leaders

Week 37

Luke 9 verses 23-24:  Then he said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.”

Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 1435.  “Taking up one’s cross each day and following Jesus is the surest way of penance.”

Do you seek to be like Jesus Christ in humility and simplicity of heart? What is the cross which Jesus Christ commands you to take up each day?

Praying with and for you in this Year of Faith,
