The Coalition is pleased to announce that the Ignatian Solidarity Network has become a Catholic Climate Covenant Partner by endorsing the St. Francis Pledge to Care for Creation and the Poor. In Happy Earth Day, John Shea, S.J., Ph.D., writes about Catholic teaching on creation care and climate change. Dr. Shea, who earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Evolutionary Biology, observes that 97% scientists not only believe the Earth’s climate has warmed in the past century, but also believe that this warming is due to human activity. The Franciscan Action Network, a member of the Coalition, is holding their next Climate Campaign webinar tomorrow!  On Thursday, May 2, 2013, from 4 to 5 p.m. EST. You can register here.
