St. John Vianney Parish and Catholic Charities Partner to Help New Refugees Celebrate their First Christmas

On Saturday, December 17, 2011 St. John Vianney hosted Catholic Charities’ Refugee Resettlement and Integration Assistance Programs Annual Christmas Party, attended by 80 people including families, volunteers and Catholic Charities of Central Florida staff.

The 2nd annual event was put together for refugees that arrived in 2011 into the United States. The parish and Catholic Charities’ collaborative efforts made this event possible. (READ MORE)

Catholic Charities and St. Paul Parish Partner to Serve Northern Region

The Northern Region Catholic Charities office is located on parish property next to St. Paul’s food pantry and thrift shop on 1321 Sunshine Avenue Leesburg, FL 34748.

“St. Paul is generous enough to give us the space rent free to operate our office. I am the only caseworker and have five volunteers who help me; thank the Lord,” said Nancy Larger with the Emergency Family Assistance Program at Catholic Charities of Central Florida. (READ MORE)

Catholic Charities Partners with Parish in Winter Haven to Carry out Mission

“Guided by the Holy Spirit, we believe that we can make a difference in this community and the world,” those are words found on St. Joseph’s website. And they truly are doing just that through collaboration with Catholic Charities of Central Florida.

“We operate our Family Empowerment Program at the St. Joseph site – the food pantry and financial assistance components of the program,” said Brenda Reddout, Western Region Director of Catholic Charities. (READ MORE)
