On January 25, 2019, Pope Francis ordered the inscription of Pope Saint Paul VI into the General Roman Calendar.
40 years after his death, all the faithful will be able to celebrate his memorial for the first time on Wednesday, May 29 – an occasion to reflect on his life and greatest teachings.
The proper liturgical texts were released by the Holy See in Latin. English and Spanish translations must be approved by the USCCB and confirmed by the Holy See before they can be implemented in the United States. Click here to interim liturgical guidelines for the celebration of St. Paul VI.
