ORLANDO | The Diocese of Orlando’s Liturgical Conference returns August 22-24 at the Hilton Orlando. Liturgy in Action: Crossing the Threshold will explore how encountering Christ through the progression of the Mass leads to thresholds of transformation, inspiring and forming us as missionary disciples.
Keynote speakers are Bishop Shawn McKnight of the Diocese of Jefferson City; Father Ricky Manalo, a theologian, liturgist, and composer from the Archdiocese of San Francisco; Dolores Martinez, composer and musician serving on the Hispanic Subcommittee of the Bishops’ Committee on Divine Worship; and Peter Latona, music director of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, DC.
The conference will offer two institutes: a Liturgy Institute by Chris Ferraro, founder of the Liturgical Music Institute, and a Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) Institute by Nick Wagner and Diana Macalintal, founders of TeamRCIA. In addition, all Saturday workshops are available in both English and Spanish.
The conference is open to all clergy, music and liturgy directors, cantors, lectors, choir and liturgy members, art and environment teams, sacristans, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and hospitality teams.
