The United States imports 80-90% of its seafood, but unfortunately thousands of people are exploited at every link in the seafood harvesting and production chain. How would you know if a seafood company was involved in human trafficking? Currently, consumers are not always given the information we need to make moral purchasing decisions. The Coalition of Catholic Organizations Against Human Trafficking (CCOAHT) is trying to make labels on seafood mandatory so consumers can make ethical purchasing decisions.
