Remembering September 11

firefighters200xJesse Harris, a firefighter at Orlando Fire Station 30 and a parishioner at St. James Cathedral Church, descends the stairs at the Bank of America building. While wearing 30 pounds of gear, he and four fellow firemen and women climbed the 28 floors of the building three times, covering more than 343 steps, to honor the 343 firefighters who lost their lives while trying to save those trapped in the World Trade Center towers following the 9/11 attack in 2001. Harris said that many men and women of service throughout the country honor the memories of the lives lost on that fateful day through similar physical challenges.
