In order to strengthen marriages and each person’s faith journey, Bishop John Noonan invites all Catholic married couples to the Diocesan Mass for Marriage on Saturday, February 18 at 10 a.m. at St. James Cathedral, 215 North Orange Avenue, Orlando.
Bishop Noonan will lead couples in renewing their vows and will bless couples and the love they share. Married couples of all ages and their families are encouraged to take part in this celebration of the Marriage Sacrament which brings spouses the grace that is needed to be faithful and to be good parents.
Catholics believe that marriage comes as a gift from the hand of God. The Catholic vision of marriage is rooted in Sacred Scripture and is expressed in the teachings and practices of the Church.
This local celebration coincides with World Marriage Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of February each year. In addition, National Marriage Week is being observed from Feb. 7-14, with the theme “Let’s Strengthen Marriage.” For more information visit: www.foryourmarriage.org and www.nationalmarriageweekusa.org.
