There are 52 known countries of origin represented in the student body at St. John Vianney Catholic School. On May 8, 2018, they celebrated their diversity with a special Heritage Day including Mass and Eucharistic Procession with Bishop Noonan.
Third graders dressed in native costumes and served as the Guard of Honor, lining the aisle during the Liturgical procession.
Following the celebration of Mass, four students performed a short skit, re-enacting the biblical story, Road to Emmaus, where two disciples encounter Jesus after his Resurrection. (Luke 24:13-35).
