After a nation-wide search, Mr. David L. McKenzie has been selected as the new President of Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala. Mr. McKenzie comes to Florida from Saint Vincent Pallotti Preparatory High School in Laurel, Maryland, where he served as President/Principal. Mr. McKenzie has served in many administrative positions in high schools and universities. Mr. McKenzie also was Director of the Community Service Corps in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia after being the Director for Youth and Young Adult Retreats for the Secretariat of Education in the Archdiocese.
Mr. McKenzie received his Bachelor’s degree from LaSalle University and his Master’s degree in Education, Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Through his vast experience in Catholic schools, Mr. McKenzie shows his life-long commitment to Catholic education. Being a deeply spiritual man, Mr. McKenzie believes in the transforming power of Jesus Christ through the Eucharist which is at the center of his beliefs and credits his parents and teachers for passing on their faith to him as a child. He is a proponent of the collaborative style of leadership and looks forward to beginning his duties at Trinity Catholic High School on July 1st.
