The Diocese of Orlando announces an updated Social Communications Policy that encompasses the many and diverse aspects of communications and seeks to fulfill the Holy Father’s request that “the new communications technologies must be placed at the service of the integral good of the individual and of the whole of humanity” (Pope Benedict XVI’s World Communications Day Message 2011).
Social Communications is a term used by the Vatican when referring to problems raised by the cinema, radio, television, the daily and periodical press, and digital media in relation to the interests of the Catholic religion.
The Diocese of Orlando Social Communications Policy addresses the following areas:
- Standards for All Social Communications Policies
- Social Media Policy
- Network Acceptable Use Policy
- Digital Media and Correspondence Policy
- Video and Webcasting Policy
- Consent Form and Administrator Agreement(s)
If you have questions about the policy, please contact Teresa Peterson at 407-246-4811 or Jack Paige at 407-246-4839.
