Third Order Regular Franciscan Father Anthony Aarons gave a short talk during an impromptu presentation delivered at the request of Bishop John Noonan. This “Missionary of Mercy” shared a powerful message about how we are all called to model our lives on the mercy and love of Jesus Christ.
Dr. Hosffman Ospino, a national expert on the pastoral life of the Church, delivered a bilingual keynote presentation on how to be a Disciple of Mercy. During this Jubilee of Mercy, his talk lays out a framework for understanding what is mercy and how to live it every day.
Bishop Noonan encouraged diocesan ministry leaders to “be rejuvenated in your faith” and to become ambassadors of God’s mercy, love, and joy.
Aaron Kohl, with the Diocese of Orlando Office of Liturgy and Music spoke about interculturation, which is bringing together various cultures to understand one another and worship together as one Church, one family. He gives tips for planning meaningful multicultural liturgies that can be celebrated in your community where elements of diversity can become a pathway to unity.
