Volunteers Needed at Catholic Charities of Central Florida- Cocoa and Melbourne Offices (Southern Region)

Catholic Charities of Central Florida is seeking volunteers to assist two of its offices in the Southern Region. 

In the Cocoa office, a pantry assistant is needed for a minimum of two hours per day Monday thru Friday, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The position will provide support to the pantry manager by preparing bags of food and toiletry items. The responsibilities include sorting donations, stocking products, packaging products and cleaning up the facility. Qualifications include a willingness to interact with people, stand for a two-hour period, be able to lift 20 pounds and understand oral and written directions in English. On-the-job training will take place.  The Cocoa Office is located at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 5145 N. US1 Cocoa, FL 32927. 

In the Melbourne office, volunteer support is also needed in the adoption and mental health counseling programs. Duties include inputting data, filing records, providing marketing support at local parishes and calling clients to remind them of their appointments. Qualifications include a willingness to interact with people, be a good communicator, have strong computer skills and be fluent in English. On-the-job training will take place.  The Melbourne office is located at 3800 W. Eau Gallie Blvd., Suite 101 Melbourne, FL 32934.

In the Cocoa and Melbourne offices, clerical support is also needed for a minimum of two hours per day, Monday thru Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The position will provide support to the clerical staff by handling donor correspondences, filing records, preparing mailings, answering phones, making copies and providing marketing and data entry support. Qualifications include a willingness to interact with people, be a good communicator, have strong computer skills and be fluent in English. On-the-job training will take place.
