Ways to focus on relationships this summer and more from the Office of Laity, Family and Life

For many of us, summer is a much needed break from a busy schedule. Some will take the time to travel to new places or return to old favorites. Others will visit with family and friends – a beautiful opportunity to refresh and renew relationships.

If you’re are staying closer to home, give yourself time to rest, relax and reconnect. Call a friend you haven’t seen in a while, visit a lonely relative, play games with your children, and most importantly, spend quality time with your spouse.  The time invested will provide long lasting benefits!

The Office of Laity, Family and Life has a few suggestions to help you give your relationships some love this summer:

Invite your friends! All are welcome even if you have never before been to a Married 4 Life event!

DIRECTIONS: Take Florida Ave to Lake Morton area. Turn west onto Hillcrest St. Hillcrest Coffee is 300 feet ahead on your right, across the street from Waller Plaza before Missouri Ave.

World Wide Marriage Encounter

Make time to improve and enrich your marriage this year!  The next gathering in English is July 21-23.  Please go to www.wwme.org  for additional information and to register.

Marriage Encounter Weekends are a special time for a married couple away from all distractions:  work, kids, bills, and other pressures and concerns.  The weekend helps couples communicate in healthy, constructive ways that can deepen their intimacy and connectedness.  Participants are asked to attend ALL talks and participate intently using the tools with their Spouse in order to maximize their experience.

Sometimes things can go very wrong in a marriage.  Retrouvaille is a program to help heal and support married couples experiencing difficulties, couples broken, lonely and hurting.  It’s also for couples who have separated or divorced and want to try again.  Our next program begins July 14, 2017.  For more information and registration, call 352-274-4614.  All calls and names held in strictest confidence.  We invite you to visit our website at Retrouvaille.org.

NACFLM Conference – It Is Not Too Late To Register!
