Week 24

Luke 22 verse 19:  Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.”

Disciples Called to Witness: The New Evangelization, Part IV § 9.  “Successful evangelization and catechetical initiatives must be focused on the parish and parish life.” The parish is where a person becomes involved with the Church community, learns how to live as a Christian disciple nurtured by Scripture, is nourished by the sacraments, and is compelled to share the Gospel with others.   What formation experiences do I provide that enhance learners’ understanding of the Liturgy as nourishing disciples of Christ and evangelizers? How in my personal life have I been a witness to discipleship rooted in a parish?

Praying with and for you in this Year of Faith,
