Year of Faith: A Reflection for Catechetical Leaders

Week 16

Luke 4 verses 14-15: Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news of him spread throughout the whole region. He taught in their synagogues and was praised by all.

Catechesi Tradendae, no. 9.  Christ’s whole life was a continual teaching. The unique consistency, persuasiveness and majesty of Christ the Teacher is only explainable by the fact that his words, parables and arguments are inseparable from his life and his very being.

Do my words and actions go together, especially in what I am teaching children, youth, or adults?  How is my life as a catechist and teacher a continual teaching of Christ’s life?
