‘Transforming Adolescent Catechesis’ Pilot

‘Finding God’ – High School Retreat

Mobilizing Volunteers for Your Ministry – March 1, 2012

Adolescent Catechesis

‘Transforming Adolescent Catechesis’ Pilot

The Diocese of Orlando is the first in the nation to pilot this process that will empower parishes to intentionally minister more effectively to our young church, and the parish communities to which they belong.  Four parishes will be participating in the first wave of the Transforming Adolescent Catechesis pilot.  I ask that you hold these parishes in your prayers as they take on the work of assessing their current ministry with, to and by adolescents and look to concrete approaches to strengthening this ministry.  Also, please include in your prayers the national trainers from NCEA, NCCL and NFCYM that will be with us March 16-17 to companion them in this process.  The four pilot parishes are:  Ascension, Church of the Resurrection (Lakeland), St Catherine of Sienna, and St Thomas Aquinas (St. Cloud).  If you wish to review the information on the TAC process, and perhaps begin discerning your participation in a later wave please click here

“Finding God” – High School Retreat will be held on March 10-11.  A flyer and other information is available by clicking here.    The registration deadline for the retreat is this Friday, February 24.  Please contact Michelle Fischer by phone (407.246.4867) or email (mfischer@orlandodiocese.org) for more information.
