Holy Family School celebrates Our Lady’s birth

On December 7, 2017, Holy Family Catholic School in Orlando celebrated the feast of the Immaculate Conception in a special way. All the school children came together to say the rosary, sing songs and dedicate a white flower to the Blessed Mother.

The stage was beautifully set with Christmas trees and a heart shaped frame in front of the statue of Our Lady. When the students selected to lead the rosary stepped forward, the celebration began. Soon the children’s voices could be heard saying the prayers in unison.

The chorus then led the students in singing a litany to Our Lady. Finally, from the youngest in Pre-K to the oldest in 8th grade, the procession of children walked up to the stage and placed their flowers in the heart shaped frame. It was as though the Blessed Mother was watching over each and every offering as the flowers began to form a big heart.

It was a beautiful experience because her presence could be felt throughout the room. As students returned to their classrooms, everyone had a smile on their face, knowing they had given a special gift to Mary.
