The Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops aims to provide opportunities and resources for Catholics in Florida to carry out their responsibility to participate in political life. To help inform voters before casting their ballots, the positions of the presidential candidates on a broad range of issues have been compiled from policies, public statements, official and campaign websites, and other resources.
This document is but one tool to help Catholics prepare for the election and is not a substitute for individual research and study. The Church does not support or oppose candidates, nor does either political party reflect the fullness of Catholic Social Teaching in its entirety. The responsibility to make political choices rests with each individual in light of a properly formed conscience in accordance with human reason and the truths of our faith.
