Design & Construction Services accompanies, guides, and supports our parishes during new construction and renovation projects.

Successful construction projects require close collaboration between the parish, Diocesan Office of Design & Construction Services, the Office of Finance, and often The Catholic Foundation of Central Florida.  Projects begin by evaluating needs, defining the scope of work, creating schematic designs and detailed drawings, permitting, bidding, and construction.  These major steps are detailed below:

Phase I: Project Initiation

Evaluation of the entity’s needs and funding source(s). Solicit proposals from pre-approved design professionals to create initial programming and design. Click here for more details.

Phase II: Schematic Design & Preliminary Budget

Create preliminary design concepts and confirm the estimated project cost is within the entity’s financial capacity. Click here for more details.

Phase III: Construction Docs, Permitting & Bidding

Further develop the schematic design with detailed drawings and specifications to be used for permitting and general contractor bidding. Click here for more details.

Phase IV: Construction

Upon receipt of permits, construct the new space and prepare it for occupancy. Click here for more details.

Phase V: Warranty & Maintenance

Proactively monitor the new space for any warranty items or defects in the design or construction. Ensure proper preventative maintenance plans are established. Click here for more details.
