Congratulations on your decision to celebrate the sacrament of marriage!
Please make sure you have completed the following steps prior to registering for an overnight or one-day Marriage Preparation Workshop (pre-Cana).
- Make an appointment to speak with the Pastor or his designated associate at your parish. (If you do not belong to a parish, now is the perfect time to find a parish home!) You must do this even if you do not plan to celebrate your wedding at that parish. Marriage preparation should begin where you are currently residing.
- Following the initial interview and the fulfillment of any requested paperwork and inventory, then, with the permission of the Pastor or his associate you may register for a pre-Cana session.
- If you have any questions, please contact Lynda Monckton, Director of Family Ministry at 407.246.4882 or email@example.com.

“Couples already civilly married are not coming to the Catholic Church for a “blessing of their marriage.” They are consenting to become a sacramental couple in the sight of the Catholic community. A sacramental marriage is an ongoing journey that begins on the day of your convalidation and lasts a lifetime. It involves the married couples’ relationship with God and the Church community as they strive daily to live their sacramental promise.”
VIETNAMESE Engaged Encounter
A VIETNAMESE Engaged Encounter is a weekend retreat away with other engaged couples with plenty of time alone together to dialogue honestly and intensively about their prospective lives together. Among the subjects you will have an opportunity to discuss with each other are your ambitions, goals, attitudes about God, sex, money, children family and your role in the church and community. To register, call 407-896-4210. http://www.philipminhparish.org (St. Philip Phan Van Minh Church).
