Prayer Service to Abolish the Death Penalty

On Thursday, October 29, 2015, Jerry Correll, is scheduled to be executed at Florida State Prison, in Starke, Florida. Catholics are encouraged to pray for Mr. Correll, his victims, his family, the victims’ family; for all the public officials involved in this scheduled execution; for Governor Scott, that he will discern God’s will and apply the teachings of our Catholic faith on the death penalty.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 27, 5 p.m., St Margaret Mary Parish (chapel), 526 Park Avenue North, Winter Park
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28, 11 a.m., St Patrick Parish, 6803 Old Highway 441 South, Mt. Dora
  • Thursday, Oct. 29, 2:30 p.m., A bus will be leaving from the parking lot of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 201 University Blvd, Daytona Beach, for a prayer service at execution site in Starke (pack a snack).
