Reflection on Our Blessed Mother, Mary

“Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope.  To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.”

The Queen of Heaven and of the Earth brings us all that we should request. Our spiritual mother, Mary the mother of God with the power of the Holy Spirit brought “the Word Made Flesh” to our world and our lives. The cause of our joy, Mary, is a figure in our lives that we can have as a mother to nurture us when we are suffering, and to join us when we jubilant. She is the one that we can send our cries, our mourning’s, and our joviality. She hears all voices and accepts all people; she loves each and every one of us. Our mother celebrates our life with us at all times. I believe she visits those who are sick in heart, mind, and soul; to them she brings reason and new life back to their souls. These people have been blessed in an inexplicable way.

“Holy Mary, help those in need, give strength to the weak, comfort the sorrowful, pray for God’s people, assist the clergy, intercede for religious.…”

Those with strong faith for the Lord, Jesus Christ, have been given great blessings. Mary, Mother Most Pure, has revealed great blessing from her Son to some strong, faithful souls. Some of the more popular Marian apparitions include: Lourdes, Fatima, Akita, and Medjugorjie (although no officially recognized as an office apparition yet). Our Loving Mother came to visit these faithful servants to help them spread the Good News of her Son and to protect us from temptations of sin. Our Mother is always here for us, safeguarding us when we feel unworthy for the love and forgiveness of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Mystical Rose, Mary our mother, is a true mother. She visits her children and confirms them with blessings and peace.

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.”

The Vessel of Honor is full of grace, love, and spirit. She brings the Lord to us and assures us with faith and blessing. She protects us from the fire that burns under our feet; the fire that tries to burn away our holy shield. This shield is the Queen of the Saints. I believe she protects us just as our mother does. She does not let temptation break us; she gives us strength to fight the toughest fights. She protects us. She gives us our greatest gift, the author of life, the Messiah, who came and saved us from sin. The Virgin most faithful never fails us. She loves us entirely.

“Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary! Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.”
