Keynote Speaker: Justin Fatica
Since Hard as Nails (HAN) was founded in 2002, Justin Fatica has impacted over two million people. He’s been an itinerant speaker for 20 years, speaking in 4 countries and 44 states. He is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Elementary Education and Master of Arts in Education.
Justin has been featured on numerous media outlets such as Good Morning America, ABC Nightline, TBN, EWTN, and was the subject of an HBO film called “Hard as Nails,” as well as a 10 episode television series on EWTN called
“You’re Amazing with Justin Fatica,” which focuses on the impact that he and You’re Amazing Missions has made while traveling on the road. He has also gained more than 1.1 million views on his weekly Facebook live videos since January of 2017 and thousands more followers on other social media platforms.
Justin is the author of 5 books, including 2 best sellers, “Hard as Nails: A Mission to Awaken Youth to the Power of God’s Love” and “Win it All: The Way to Heaven for Catholic Teens.” His other books include “The Prayer Workout Devotional: 40 Days of Biblical Reflections to Jumpstart Your Workout Routine;” “You’re Amazing” children’s book; and most recently published in March 2017, “You’re Amazing: A Message of Hope that will Change Your Life Forever.”
He has been endorsed by numerous priests and bishops, including Bishop Rhoades, of the Diocese of Fort Wayne, IN, who said: “With deep passion, Justin shares this faith, hope, and love with young people, teaching and inspiring them to have a living relationship with the Holy Trinity. He is currently serving as the main speaker of HAN and serves as the Executive Director. His spiritual director, Father Peter John Cameron, O.P., former Chief Editor of the Magnificat and current Ecclesial Liaison for HAN, and the missions’ Episcopal Advisor, Bishop Frank Caggiano of the Diocese of Bridgeport, CT, help lead Justin in the spiritual decisions and the success of You’re Amazing Missions. Justin Fatica resides in Syracuse, New York, with his five children and his beautiful wife, Mary Elizabeth Fatica.
Additional Speaker: Rev. Benjamin Lehnertz
He was born to an Air Force family and grew up moving across the US. His high school years were spent in Satellite Beach, FL where the beginnings of a priestly vocation began while he was active in the youth ministry at Holy Name of Jesus. Father Benjamin began to discern his vocation as a teen because of adults from his parish’s youth ministry that personally invested in him, taught him to pray, and called him to serve.
He attended Ball State University in Indiana, pursuing a potential baseball career. After two years he quit the baseball team, dropped his major, and broke up with his girlfriend to join the Diocese of Orlando and be sent to St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy and graduated from St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach; continuing his studies and internship he then completed his master’s degree in divinity. Father Benjamin was ordained in the Diocese of Orlando on May 25, 2013 and spent his first two years at Annunciation Catholic Church and now he serves at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando, FL.
Master of Ceremony: Rev. Miguel Gonzalez
Fr. Miguel A. Gonzalez is currently the Rector of St. James Cathedral, and the Vicar for Priests of the Diocese of Orlando.
Fr. Miguel was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Orlando on May 23, 1998. He first served as parochial vicar at St. James Cathedral Church, Orlando, and was transferred to St. John Vianney Parish in the fall of 2000. Four years later, on December 15, 2004 Bishop Thomas Wenski named Fr. Miguel full time Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Orlando. In March of 2011, after seven successful years as the Vocations Director, Bishop John Noonan named him Parish Administrator and later Pastor of St. John Vianney Parish. In early October of 2016, Bishop Noonan named him Administrator of St. James Cathedral Parish. He was appointed Rector of St. James July 1, 2017.
In addition to his priestly duties, Fr. Miguel is the spiritual advisor to the Orlando Council of Catholic Women and enjoys games of dominos, cooking and visiting the area’s theme parks.
Prior to becoming a priest for the Diocese of Orlando, Fr. Gonzalez worked as an on-air personality and music program director for a commercial Spanish music radio station in Orlando, Florida.
