School Food Drive Gives People Food for the Holidays

On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Holy Redeemer Catholic School students and staff participated in the “Turkey Trot”, a food drive focused on giving the food to the poor.

“During the weeks before the event, the students and staff collected food items. Students had a goal of 5,000 food items. They collected 6,000 items, totally surpassing their goal. Hundreds of families were fed thanks to this food drive, and everyone had fun helping others in the name of God. Remember to give thanks for your many gifts and pray for those who are less fortunate.

He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.” – Proverbs 22:9
