I was curious to know if some of the things he loved about our school were the same things I love.
Dr. Duffy told me his favorite specials class was religion and his favorite part of the day was lunch. He loved everything that Mrs. Day would make. Mrs. Day is still in charge of the lunches at ACA.
Dr. Duffy played basketball, one of my favorite sports! His favorite memory from ACA was in 8th grade, when he was in a school play called, “Guys and Dolls.” In fact, if you go in the music room today, you will find pictures of this play on the wall, and you will see Dr. Duffy’s photo!
Dr. Duffy said he knew he wanted to be a dentist when he was in middle school and the teachers told him he could be anything he wanted to be. He believed them. He said it felt as if it took forever to get his degree, but it was definitely worth it. It took eight years.
Today, Dr. Duffy likes to volunteer and give back to the community by helping others.
