WINTER PARK | Bishop John Noonan bestowed the Medal of St. Patrick upon Msgr. Richard Walsh on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 27, 2025 at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Winter Park after Mass. Assisting him with the presentation was Father Paul Henry. The medal, given by the Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of Ireland, Archbishop Eamon Martin, recognizes Msgr. Walsh for his golden jubilee and 40 years of service at St. Margaret Mary. “This is a bit of a shock,” said the Monsignor, surprised by both the award and the presence of Bishop Noonan. He thanked the bishop and all present, promising to “share” the award with Father Henry who is from Northern Ireland, where the Diocese of Armagh is located. (JACQUE BRUND)
