ORLANDO  |  Two hundred priests gathered at the Omni Orlando Resort for the annual convocation Sept. 8-10, 2026. Attending the convocation is a diocesan mandate as it offers priests an opportunity for fellowship and relaxation, to celebrate Mass together, and learn from speakers.

This year the priests heard from Consecrated Virgin and theologian Jennifer Settle on the “Blessings and Challenges of Priestly Life.” A panel of four priests spoke Cor ad Cor Loquitur or “Heart to Heart” about their life as a priest. The four priests varied in age and years as clerics. Father Richard Trout, Father Andrzej Jurkiewicz, Father Glenn Lopez, and Father Edwin Cardona answered questions facilitated by Father Miguel González on the joys and challenges of priesthood and how to find a balance between their personal and parish lives.

Priests also had time for Eucharistic Adoration, to meet with vendors of religious objects, learn about The Catholic Foundation, Catholic Charities of Central Florida, and more. Unique to this year’s retreat was the incardination of two priests: Father Benjie Calangi of St. Margaret Mary Parish, Winter Park and Father Khanh Quoc Dau of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Port Orange.
