Two priests incardinated into diocese

Father Benjie Calangi was ordained an Oblate of St. Joseph in the Philippines Sept. 18, 2021. He arrived in the Diocese of Orlando in 2023, and served Our Saviour Parish in Cocoa Beach as parochial vicar. He now serves St. Margaret Mary Parish in Winter Park as parochial vicar.

Father Khanh Quoc (Paul) Dau is a native of Vietnam. He was ordained June 19, 2010. His first assignment in the Diocese of Orlando began November 2019, as parochial vicar at St. Anthony Parish in Lakeland. He then moved to his current parish, Our Lady of Hope in Port Orange, serving in the same capacity since August 2021.

The two priests signed their Oath of Incardination, making public vows or promises of permanent service and obedience within the Diocese of Orlando and to its bishop. Incardination is the permanent, official attachment of a cleric (deacon or priest) to a specific local church (diocese), personal prelature, or religious institute, as required by Canon 265 of the Code of Canon Law.
